TickITplus is the successor of TickIT and is designed to meet the diverse needs of the modern IT industry, demonstrating compliance to a best-practice model and a capability dimension to ISO15504. The scheme provides improved process modelling to facilitate more efficient business and quality systems planning and improvement. BSI has recently published the Requirements for Training Courses and Examinations (RTEX) and Requirements for Assessors & Practitioners (RAP) and these documents are also both available for download from www.tickitplus.org.

Organisations in general have difficulty with process concepts. The BPL enables consistency of approach and a process baseline for assessment. It deals with processes and procedures and as such focuses more on general IT and less on software development.
