Canton, Georgia - January 3rd, 2011 -- Looking for a new job? Fields Chapel United Methodist Church is starting a new faith based job ministry, "Weathering the Storm", to help unemployed and underemployed people with their job search.

"Weathering the Storm" will kick-off with a one day job search workshop at the church campus on Saturday, 1/29/2011 from 8:30am to 5pm. Workshop will cover everything needed to mount an effective job search. Workshop lead by a certified volunteer facilitator and includes materials published by Career Ministries, Inc out of Tampa, FL. Workshop followed by bi-weekly support group meetings. Information covered and the structure of the meetings will be based on the best practices of other job search faith based career ministries in the nation. No fee to attend the workshop. A $30 donation will be accepted by those wishing to help cover the cost of materials. Pre-Registration required for the one day workshop. Deadline date to pre-register is Jan 15th, 2011.
