Pre-recorded video presentation now available for 2022 Lake Pend Oreille "State of the Lake" meeting

The pre-recorded video presentation is now available on the State of the Lake" virtual meeting page. Also on this page, you can submit questions about the presentation prior to the virtual meeting, and you can register for the virtual meeting.

Registration is required to participate in the virtual meeting, so register now!

Anglers and other community members interested in the status of the diverse fish stocks in Lake Pend Oreille are encouraged to watch the pre-recorded video presentation and submit questions before the live virtual event event that will occur on Tuesday, April 5 at 6 p.m. PDT. In the video, fishery staff from Idaho Fish and Game's Panhandle Region office share updates on the Lake Pend Oreille fishery and activities planned for 2022.

Although it is not required that participants watch the pre-recorded video, it is highly encouraged as fishery staff share background information about the fishery and the latest population trends and research related to kokanee, rainbow trout, lake trout, walleye and more.

The live virtual event will include a short introductory presentation followed by a question-and-answer session. The public will be able to submit questions during the virtual meeting; however, participants are encouraged to submit questions before April 5, as biologists will spend the majority of the virtual event answering questions related to the pre-recorded presentation.

We regret that an in-person component to the meeting wasn’t possible. When meeting arrangements were made earlier in the winter, it was uncertain whether or not restrictions on large gatherings would be in place. We plan to resume an in-person “State of the Lake” meeting next year.
