STATEMENT OF SENATOR RISA HONTIVEROS ON THE REQUEST OF LINCOLNN ONG'S WIFE
Bilang kapwa babae at ina, nauunawaan ko ang damdamin ng asawa ni Lincolnn Ong, kung kaya't pwede siguro na palayain siya habang may dengue ang anak nila. However, I defer to the Chair, Sen. Dick, with regard to the final decision.
Trabaho ng Senado na kilatisin kung paano ginastos ng gobyerno ang bilyun-bilyong pera ng taumbayan, election season man o hindi. We should not deflect attention from this fact. While it may be uncomfortable for the Ongs, the Filipino people deserve the truth.
Kung inosente ang asawa niya, wala siyang dapat ipangamba.
