More Islanders join provincial boards
CANADA, October 29 - Island communities continue to see the benefits of residents lending their voice through their participation in government agencies, boards and commissions.
This month, 19 people were appointed or reappointed to four boards, including the newly created Anti-Racism Table.
“It’s always an honour to welcome newly appointed Islanders to provincial agencies, boards and commissions. Every single voice at these tables plays an important role in how we tackle the issues Islanders face day in and day out related to areas such as accessibility, race and economic opportunities. My thanks go out to everyone who submits their name through Engage PEI. I know that with your knowledge and expertise, we will be able to drive sustainable change in Prince Edward Island.”
- Premier Dennis King
Every month, Engage PEI accepts applications for upcoming vacancies on one of over 70 government agencies, boards and commissions.
