Gazpromneft-Aero, operator of Gazprom Neft’s aviation refuelling business, has begun refuelling scheduled and chartered flights with high-performance JET A-1 fuel at Manas International Airport Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan). More than 15,000 tonnes of JET A-1 fuel are expected to be sold at Manas International Airport by the end of 2021. Gazpromneft-Aero is now refuelling all Russian and international flights for Aeroflot, S7, Volga-Dnepr, Turkish Airlines, FlyDubai and others in Bishkek.

The company’s Omsk Refinery has been producing this fuel (much in demand in international aviation) since April 2021. Gazprom Neft’s new high-tech product is fully compliant with international aviation standards and is certified in line with all Customs Union technical requirements. All staff at Manas Airport’s refuelling complex have received further training in order to undertake JET A-1 refuelling operations, in line with international regulation.
“Moving over to JET A-1 fuel will give Manas Airport a further competitive advantage in servicing freight and transcontinental Europe-to-Asia flights, where there is considerable demand for this kind of fuel. We stand ready to increase JET A-1 wing-tip refuelling volumes in Bishkek, and will continue developing refuelling infrastructure in Bishkek, to that end.”
