Native Seed Collection in the Danskin Mountains

We will be collecting seed from sagebrush growing in the Danskin Mountains for future restoration projects to improve deer and elk winter habitat. 

• Date: Tuesday, November 11, 2021
• Details: Meet at 9:30 AM at the Boise Stage Stop, 23801 S Orchard Access Rd, Boise, off I-84. Return by 2 PM. 

Sagebrush Seedling Planting in the Danskin Mountains 

We will be hand planting locally adapted sagebrush in the Danskin Mountains to restore habitat for wildlife.

• Date: Tuesday, November 13, 2021
• Details: Meet at 9:30 AM at the Boise Stage Stop, 23801 S Orchard Access Rd, Boise, off I-84. Return by 4 PM.

Fence Construction Project at Cascade Reservoir 

This volunteer activity will include building an H-brace, putting up wood stays with fence staples, and performing some general fence maintenance before the snow flies. 

• Date: Tuesday, November 16, 2021
• Details: Meet at 9:30am at the Poison Creek Boat Launch/Campground at the state work shed on the right just as you enter the boat launch area.  This is close to the entrance to Tamarack Resort on West Mountain Road. We will leave the site about 2:30/3:00 PM. Return to the Treasure Valley at 5:00/5:30 PM.

We will be collecting seed from sagebrush growing in the Boise Foothills for future fire restoration projects.

• Date: Tuesday, November 20, 2021
• Details: Meet at 9:00 AM at the parking lot near the Bogus Basin Boise office and Lulus Pizza on the right hand side off Bogus Basin Road. Return to Boise by 1 PM.

Native Seed Collection for the Soda Fire

We will be collecting seed from sagebrush growing in the Owyhees for future Soda Fire restoration projects. 

• Date: Tuesday, November 30, 2021
• Details: Meet at 9:00 AM at the ExtraMile truck stop on the corner of HWY 95/55.  Return to Marsing by 2:00 PM. 

Native Seed Collection Near Mann Creek Reservoir

We will be collecting seed from sagebrush growing in the Boise Foothills for future fire restoration projects.

• Date: Tuesday, December 4, 2021
• Details: Meet at 8:00 AM at the Nampa Regional Office, 15950 N Gate Blvd., OR on site at 9:45 AM at the intersection of Upper Mann Creek Rd and Deer Creek Road, 12 miles north of Weiser, ID. Return to Boise by 5 PM.

Native Seed Collection for the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area.

We will be collecting seed from sagebrush growing in the Kuna Butte area for future BLM Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area restoration projects.

• Date: Tuesday, December 7, 2021
• Details: Meet at 10:00 AM on site near Kuna Butte, 14 miles southeast of Nampa, ID. Return to Boise by 2 PM.

We will be collecting seed from sagebrush growing in the Boise Foothills for future fire restoration projects.

• Date: Tuesday, December 11, 2021
• Details: Meet at 10:00 AM at the Rocky Canyon at the Orchard Gulch Trailhead, 8 miles east of Boise. Return to Boise by 2 PM.
