High-tech Gazprom Neft bitumen products are starting to be used on German motorways

Gazprom Neft’s bitumen products have started being used in the construction and maintenance of Germany’s motorway network. Following testing at specialist laboratories, together with pilot testing on motorways in the Federal Republic of Germany, Gazprom Neft bitumen materials have now been certified as compliant with European Union and German national standards — the latter having higher quality requirements for bitumen binders.*, **

Specialists at Gazprom Neft’s Science and Technology Centre have developed a unique formulation for BRIT-brand road sealants, specifically for the German market — with experts praising this product’s high quality, performance and ecological features during laboratory tests. German specialists also noted Gazprom Neft bitumen sealants’ (mastics’) high performance on asphalt following experience on a pilot test-section on the Munich city motorway.

“German road infrastructure is seen as a benchmark. The reliability and durability of road surfacing in Germany is guaranteed by stringent demands on roadbuilding materials. It’s for precisely that reason that we have adjusted our sealants’ formulations to achieve the high product quality demanded under national regulations, including in environmental safety. Gazprom Neft’s bitumen materials being certified under German and European Union standards confirms their full competitiveness with leading global alternatives, as well as the scope for their wide application on any roads, under various climates. We’re planning to offer this product to domestic consumers, too.”
