Gazpromneft-Aero, operator of Gazprom Neft’s aviation refuelling business, has completed its transition to full electronic data management (EDM) in transactions with air carriers and service providers at all refuelling complexes throughout Russia. Thanks to the deployment of this digital service paper-based document flows in the refuelling process are down 90%.
Gazpromneft-Aero’s digital service means air carriers can allocate costs for every flight, aircraft, airport, and all fuel and services, automatically, and manage all reconciliation statements, pricing agreements and other documentation online. Pursuant to Russian legislation, electronic documentation can be signed by digital signatures and transmitted through an independent system operator. Gazpromneft-Aero began moving over to EDM in 2018 — the most recent refuelling complex to connect to this digital system being in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, using satellite data transmission channels. Forty-six refuelling complexes throughout Russia are already connected to the Gazpromneft-Aero system, with the service being used by more than 90 Russian and international aviation companies.
