Homicide: I-295 Near East Capitol Street, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, on I-295 near East Capitol Street, Northeast.
At approximately 3:11 am, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of an individual in the roadway. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the northbound travel lanes. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and after finding no signs consistent with life the victim was pronounced dead. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 20 year-old Timothy Logan, of Northeast, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
