Line Painting Tomorrow on Route 581 EB in Cumberland County
Lane restrictions in place from 10 AM to 2 PM
Harrisburg, PA – Motorists in Cumberland County are advised a PennDOT contractor will implement lane restrictions tomorrow, Friday, November 20, on eastbound Route 581 from the Carlisle Pike (Route 11) Interchange in Hampden Township to just east of the Route 15 (Camp Hill/Gettysburg) Interchange in Camp Hill Borough.
Lane restrictions will be implemented on eastbound Route 581 from approximately 10 AM to 2 PM so pavement markings can be replaced at the location of a recent emergency pavement repair project.
The ramp from Route 641 (Trindle Road) to eastbound Route 581 will be changed from its current yield condition to a temporary stop condition during this work.
Hempt Brothers, Inc., of Camp Hill, PA, is the prime contractor on this $279,660 project.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to slow down when approaching and traveling through work zones for their safety as well as for the safety of the road crews.
Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, and relevant training.
