Lane Restrictions on Route 44 in Columbia County Continue Next Week

Montoursville, PA – A resurfacing project will continue on Route 44 in Hemlock Township, Columbia County, between Route 42 and the intersection of Route 44 and School House Road.  

 

On Monday, August 17 through Thursday, August 20, the contractor, Glen O. Hawbaker, will continue to work on the project. The work will be performed between the hours of 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Motorists can expect short term single lane conditions with flagging. 

 

Work this week includes areas of shoulder work, drainage adjustments and line painting.

 

Work is expected to be completed by August 27, weather permitting. 

 

Motorists are urged to slow down, be alert, and expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the construction zone.

Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, and relevant training.
