PECO to Restrict Several State Highways Weekdays for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning weekday lane closures on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Chester County

  • Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 23 (Nutt Road) between Cemetery Lane and Lincoln Avenue in Phoenixville Borough; and
  • Monday, July 6, through September, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Dutton Milll Road and Edgmont Golf Club Road in Willistown Township.

Delaware County

  • Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Lynn Boulevard and U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) in Upper Darby Township; and
  • Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 320 (Sproul Road) between Godfrey Road and Clyde Road in Radnor Township.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, July 6 and Tuesday, July 7, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) between Quarry Road and Ruth Road in Lower Salford Township; and
  • Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 29 (Main Street) between 8th Street and 10th Street in Pennsburg Borough.

Philadelphia

  • Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on U.S. 13 (Frankford Avenue) between Carteret Drive and Morrell Avenue; and
  • Tuesday, July 7, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 611 (York Road) between Route 309 (Cheltenham Avenue) and Beech Avenue in Cheltenham Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
