U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) in Philadelphia, including Hopewell Road in Chester County, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for tree trimming operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, June 1, through Wednesday, June 3, lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Tyson Avenue and Sandyford Avenue in Philadelphia; • Monday, June 1, through Wednesday, June 3, lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Goodnaw Street and Grant Avenue in Philadelphia; and • Wednesday, June 3, through Saturday, June 6, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Hopewell Road between Route 282 (Creek Road) and U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) in East Brandywine Township, Chester County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.

Work on these projects will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage and relevant training.
