CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, US, May 8, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ -- On May 4th, 2019, The Way to Happiness (TWTH) Association Tampa Bay held their Pre-Mother’s Day Family Movie Night at the Osceola Courtyard in downtown Clearwater. Over 250 visitors enjoyed a reptile petting zoo, a bouncy house, face painting, balloon art and an introductory martial arts workshop by Shihan School of Survival before the box office hit Incredibles 2 was shown on the giant 16 x 19 foot screen. Children also made crafts for their Moms, such as decorated pots, beaded necklaces and mother’s day certificates.

The American Mother’s Day, which will be celebrated on May 12th this year, was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908 and became an official U.S. holiday in 1914. Mothers are honored with gifts and flowers and are expected to take a day off from household chores.

In Precept 5 of The Way to Happiness, Honor and Help Your Parents, L. Ron Hubbard wrote, “In spite of all, one must remember that they are the only parents one has. And as such, no matter what, one should honor them and help them. The way to happiness includes being on good terms with one’s parents or those who brought one up.”

The Executive Director of The Way to Happiness Association Tampa Bay, Tanja Cranton, told the guests that The Way to Happiness is one of the many humanitarian outreach programs the Church of Scientology sponsors and, ”It is with their support that we are able to provide free educational materials to the community and hold complimentary events such as this.”
