The book of Acts not only provides us with the history of the early Church, it also gives us a blueprint for Missions. Before He ascended into heaven, Jesus reminded the disciples that they should continue His work once they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. They were to then “go into all the world.” They had a mission to share the love of God and the Good News of the Gospel with everyone they came into contact with, carrying the Gospel to the uttermost ends of the earth.
