World Agility Forum 2018: Celebrating Outstanding Agile Journeys
Recognizing outstanding results achieved by companies and individuals through using Agile practices, and celebrating their journeys to achieve business agility.
LISBON, PORTUGAL, September 25, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- The first edition of the World Agility Forum will take place on the 1st of October 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. The event aims to recognize outstanding results achieved by companies and individuals through using Agile practices, and celebrate their journeys to achieve business agility.
With growing technology demands and increasing market pressure, companies struggle to meet their customers’ most-wanted requirements. As an added challenge, organizations need to improve the way they communicate through their current processes, in order to keep customers and stakeholders satisfied. To overcome these challenges, organizations worldwide turn to new ways of working, meant to not only ensure survival, but to also foster growth. Part of the sought-after benefits are better visibility across the organization, higher satisfaction of employees and customers alike, and faster delivery of value to the market.
In their quest for improved business agility, organizations turn to Agile ways of working. Agile is an umbrella term for a number of iterative and incremental frameworks and methodologies. These encourage the development of solutions through collaboration of self-organizing, cross-functional teams and their stakeholders, by building a continuous flow and using adaptive planning. Through this, they ultimately improve the business outcomes.
The World Agility Forum has been created to bring together top Agilists and companies from around the world to showcase exemplary application of Agile. It highlights and recognises the effort and commitment of both individuals and organizations to achieve business Agility themselves, as well as supporting others to do so.
The Founder of the World Agility Forum, Hugo Lourenco, explains the motivation that lies behind this celebration of Agility. “The world is changing and everyday we can only see that when we reflect and notice what is not there anymore. We see companies all around the world changing to a different mindset and we believe we can do our share to accelerate that change.”
As part of the World Agility Forum, companies and individuals will present a short video highlighting their achievements using Agile, and will be awarded with recognitions under categories such as Personal Agility 2018, Creativity Agility 2018, European | American | Asian | African Agility 2018, Team Agility, Agility in Defense, Lifetime Agility 2018.
The invite-only event will see the participation of some of the most renowned members of the Agile community, such as Steve Denning, Dave Snowden, Chet Hendrickson, Christopher Avery, Michael Sahota, and Nigel Thurlow.
World Agility Forum 2018 will be held on October 1st in Lisbon, Portugal, at the Palácio da Rocha do Conde d’Óbidos from 7pm.
