BVGiWear and Betty Ford Center to Support Veterans With Addictions and Mental Illness

BVGiWear (BG Valor, Inc.) and Betty Ford Center initiate efforts to donate 50% of profits for veterans in need of mental health and addiction recovery.

RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, September 24, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Riverside, California, September 24, 2018 - In support of United States Veterans and the “hero’s journey,” The BG Veterans of Valor Foundation (powered by BVGiWear) is honored to announce initiated efforts in fulfilling its charter to help veterans in need of mental health and addiction recovery.

We are negotiating with a prominent medical school to sponsor a new Addiction Medicine Department (AMD) whose purpose will be to train medical personnel in the evaluation and treatment of those with mental health and addiction problems, with a special emphasis on veterans who suffer from these diseases. When we get the approved narrative, we will update our site accordingly.

Joseph Skrajewski, M.A., MFTI, Executive Director, Medical & Professional Education at the Betty Ford Center, and part of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, has agreed to work towards collaborating with the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine to establish training modules for the advanced education of medical personnel. This is part of their new Division of Professionals in Medicine (PIR) division and will help in the evaluation and treatment of veterans in need. Further, with funding grants from the V.O.V. Foundation, the department will have the resources and facilities to properly treat veterans in need of help and recovery.

With the support of grants funded through V.O.V. Foundation, Ron L. Vervick, J.D., Executive Director of Whiteside Manor, Inc. in Riverside, California, is developing programs to support proper evaluation and treatment for veterans who are in need of mental health and addiction recovery.

As our foundation grows, so will the number of collaborators. We are honored to have The Betty Ford Center, and Whiteside Manor as the inaugural beneficiaries of our foundation’s support. We are grateful that they share our vision regarding the fact that efforts need to be made in earnest to support our Veterans of Valor and thank them for their enthusiastic support!
