The biggest showcase of excellence in the Canadian HR industry launched its 5th year with 24 categories open to HR teams, leaders and employers in Canada.

To have external recognition means a lot for the team. It’s an impressive list of finalists, and to be recognized among that group is amazing.”

TORONTO, CA, April 17, 2018 / -- Among the broad range of categories are the highly coveted awards for Canadian HR Team of the Year, The Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion Award, and The Ultimate Software Award for Best Workplace Culture.

According to Anna Petosa, VP of People and Culture at Pelmorex Media (Canadian HR Team of the Year 2017), “To have external recognition means a lot for the team. It’s an impressive list of finalists, and to be recognized among that group is amazing.”

Pelmorex Media, parent company of The Weather Network, competed against big names in their category, including Nexonia/Tallie, The Clorox Company of Canada, and Vancouver Film School.

This year, CHRA also introduces 6 new categories including The Leadership Agency Award for Woman of Distinction and HR employment law-focused categories such as Labour & Employment Boutique Law Firm of the Year and Best Employment & Labour Lawyer (Within a Practice).

A comprehensive decision-making process will precede the event, involving two months of nominations, industry research and finalist submissions. All award winners will be determined by a judging panel comprising independent HR industry leaders and senior-level representatives.

Finalists will be announced on HRD Canada magazine and HRD Online in July.
Winners will be announced live during a highly anticipated black-tie awards ceremony, brought to you by Ultimate Software, in Toronto on September 20.
