Sternsteiger Stahlwaren and UBUTT DESIGN have received the German Design Award for Excellent Product Design in the category Kitchen.

SOLINGEN, GERMANY, February 16, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- On Friday February 9th the combined team of Sternsteiger Stahlwaren and UBUTT DESIGN has been honored to receive the German Design Award 2018 for Excellent Product Design in the category Kitchen for designing the Achilles kitchen knife.

The two companies joined forces a few years ago to develop the next generation of kitchen knives coming from Solingen, the famous city of blades in Germany.

The Achilles kitchen knife features a unique design and has been in development for at least three years. The knife is now ready to hit the store shelves and Sternsteiger is currently preparing the launch of Achilles via the well known crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.

Once the product has been launched via Kickstarter Sternsteiger Stahlwaren will start selling the product online and in selected stores worldwide.
