Sympli Launches Versions, A New Collaboration Tool for Designers
First end to end, Git-based Version control solution for design files
WASHINGTON, DC, USA, February 1, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- February 1, 2018, Washington D.C., - Sympli, a DesignOps platform that streamlines collaboration between designers, developers and digital product teams that works with Sketch, Photoshop, Android Studio and Xcode, today announced the beta launch of Versions. This tool is a major step forward for designers who can now access a “GitHub for design files” and share in the benefits of tools just like developers have for years.“This is really the first end to end, Git-based Version control solution for design files that includes visual differences, change tracking, simplified interfaces / functions, visual conflict resolution and more,” said Tim Keough, CEO of Sympli.
Versions offers the following benefits for designers:
· Edit mockups or parts of the design system without having to orchestrate peer activity on the same files.
· Run design experiments or design new product features without interfering with others and then resolve conflicts / merge changes automatically through a visual and easy to use interface.
· Web application for browsing and reviewing change sets and viewing/comparing design versions with direct integration with project management tools keeping users on the same page with teammates and managers.
· Visually select changes to include in the “checked in” version and discard other changes on an individual, change-by-change basis.
· Integrated directly into Mac OS Finder so transitions from Dropbox or shared drives are a breeze.
· Users choose between public cloud, private cloud and on premises setups.

"Versions by Sympli enables our design teams with tools and processes necessary to get work done more efficiently, ensure we have a single source of truth for our design files and versions, and can more rapidly make and track changes in the design process”, said Sergey Nikishkin, Head of Design, Acronis. “When combined with Sympli's collaboration and handoff features, our teams are much more efficient and effective.”
