CSGO’s 5th Anniversary: No CSGO Skins for PlayerAuctions
CSGO’s 5th birthday was a frustrating affair. If it weren’t for reactivation of party mode, the 21st of August would’ve been another day in lives of CSGO players.
PASIG CITY, METRO MANILA, PHILIPPINES, September 4, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- As CSGO fans are aware of, the game’s anniversary was on August 21st. It should’ve been a time of celebration with some unveiling of at least some new features of the game or CSGO Skins, including new weapons that are usable for gameplay. None of those were present at the party.
There was nothing spectacular about the 5th anniversary of CSGO other than a Collectible Five Year Veteran Coin (available now in Valve’s online store), and party mode being up and running again, Zeus x27s, and defusing a bomb amounts to something similar to opening a party kit.

What Could Have Been
Perhaps there could've been an update on improvements on catching cheaters and bug abusers, the reworking of certain maps, and even a new mode to play (party mode doesn’t count). CSGO could've listened to the loyal fans about what they want and update those things for the anniversary. There's also rumors of the “Panorama UI” or some UI graphical overhaul that would've been good to get updated. Judging from the grumbles and complaints in forums, it's highly unlikely. Otherwise, the developers could’ve set a multiplier to increase the chance of random skin drops or increase the number of skin drops, at least for a limited time only. Unfortunately, none of that happened.
A Disappointing Anniversary
There was no explanation to why the anniversary was dull and uninspiring. Fans were left disappointed. Is this the death of CSGO? Is Valve sweeping this game under the rug? Some rumors are going around about some big updates. These didn't go live during the anniversary, but they could go live at some other time. At least that shows that Valve still has some investment in the game.
As long as there are players who genuinely enjoy the game and continue playing it, CSGO will continue to press through. There are skins to collect, enemies and rivals to defeat, and ranks to gain. After all, nobody said that CSGO is dead, and perhaps that's the silver lining of this anniversary.
