WASHINGTON, D.C., USA, July 27, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Join us for our 4th annual Green Jobs event on Thursday, August 17th, 6-8:30 pm, at the DC Sustainable Energy Utility (DC SEU)! The DC SEU is one of the largest employers of energy and related professionals in the Metro area. Learn more about job opportunities at their exhibit table. We will also be offering a pre-event workshop (4-5:30 pm) on Green Careers.

Green Career Pre-Event Workshop (4- 5:30 pm)

We will be conducting a workshop titled "What's Your Green Career Plan?" designed for people at all career levels -- whether you're looking to enter the Green Jobs field, move up, or laterally. Beth (Bettina) Offenbacker, Ph.D., will be our instructor. Beth is a Leaders in Energy member and HR Consultant and Coach, with her firm, Waterford, Inc.

Our mission includes helping members connect on opportunities related to employment. Workshop price is $25.

Main Event--Green Jobs: Current and Future Trends (6-8:30 pm)

Panel 2 --
Leaders in Energy members -- Tim Bagley, Justin Jasiulevicius, and Edythe Richards -- have landed green (and related) jobs. They will briefly describe their job, how they found it, and offer advice for others. (See the bios on our Panel 1 and Panel 2 speakers below).

Exhibitors -- Metro DC energy and sustainability companies who hire in the green space and organizations who assist job seekers.
