Standish Executive Search, LLC announces addition of Kelley R. Small as Principal

Five-year old executive search firm expands its market with addition of another seasoned professional to the team.

PROVIDENCE, RI, USA, April 8, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Standish Executive Search (http://standishsearch.com), a leading executive search firm advising mid-sized and smaller companies, today announced the addition of Kelley R. Small of Bridgewater, NH, and West Boylston, MA, as a Principal.

In this role, she will join Principal Stanley Davis as they expand the five-year-old firm’s client base, and meet the expanding requests for Standish services. In making the announcement, Davis said that the firm has enjoyed five strong years. “The growth and expansion plans have led to the need for an additional seasoned advisor to support the firm’s commitments and growth.”

He added, “The time is right. And Kelley is the ideal choice to address our client’s leadership needs.”

Small, a native of the Worcester, MA area, brings a strong resume of advising mid-market and smaller businesses and their owners as they have grown and transformed their companies. She serves as an Advisor to CEO Connection and also as its Women’s Leadership Director. CEO Connection helps to position mid-market companies to improve their operations and results. Small also has worked with female CEOs throughout the United States, connecting them to people, information and resources. Her focus in particular has been helping women to achieve positions in the C Suite and on boards in the mid-market space.

Small was the Founder and President of Newfound Business Solutions, a company she led from 2006 to 2017. As an Accredited Business Advisor, she has helped medium and small businesses across a wide range of industries to achieve their goals in the United States and internationally.

Her earliest business experience came through her family’s company, the Pedlar Publishing Group. The Worcester, MA area company eventually sold the magazines, after which Small launched a monthly magazine, Today’s Parent, in 1996. She was its publisher until its sale in 2002. The magazine continues today under the name, Bay State Parent, with its new owners.

Under the administration of President George W. Bush, Small also served as an appointee to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), where she was Chairman of its Farm Service Agency for Massachusetts, a post she held for eight years.

Her education includes business management at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and professional certifications in advising independent businesses (IIB); marketing and sales; and personality evaluations.

Small divides her time between Bridgewater, NH, where she and her family own a home on Newfound Lake; and West Boylston, MA.

She said, “It is great to find someone of Stan’s caliber and reputation to work with. Standish Executive Search is so well regarded in this space. Not only do they surface and secure exceptional candidates, they provide added support to assure that the position and candidate profiles are right for the business and then follow through to assure on-the-job success after placement. I look forward to being part of the firm.”

Davis added, “Standish clients have come to expect responsive, attentive and tailored professional support. Kelley’s advisory expertise in leadership and organization effectiveness will help assure that Standish continues to deliver on its commitments to a growing number of clients.”

About Standish Executive Search
Standish Executive Search supports business owners, executives and board members who are positioning their companies for accelerated growth, change or succession.
Focused on mid-sized and smaller companies, The Standish Model© recognizes that traditional executive search was conceived to meet the needs of very large companies. The resultant process, support and fees were tailored to the assumption that every business had the same in-house expertise and resources to plan, support and follow-up an executive search. Standish was launched to supplement the resources and expertise of mid-sized and smaller businesses to assure that they too can successfully address their executive search needs. Standish understands each organization’s distinctive operations, objectives and culture; supports its client companies before, during and after each search; and guarantees the results. The firm draws from over three decades of business experience. Standish’s primary offices are located in Providence, RI.
