GW Hosts Energy and Sustainability in Higher Education Program

WASHINGTON, D.C., USA, February 21, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Dr. David S. Dolling, Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the George Washington University, will kick off the Energy and Sustainability Extravaganza at The George Washington University at 2:30 pm on Friday, February 24, 2017. The event, focused on Sustainable Solutions for Tomorrow’s Campuses,” will be held in the Lehman Auditorium of the University’s Science and Engineering Hall. Dean Dolling began his tenure as Dean of GW's School of Engineering and Applied Science on September 1, 2008. An internationally recognized aerospace engineer, Dean Dolling served previously as associate dean for academic affairs and Joe C. Walter, Jr. Chair in Engineering at the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas, Austin, where he joined the faculty in 1983. One of GW's cutting edge program's housed in the School of Engineering and Applied Science is The Environmental and Energy Management Institute (EEMI).

The EEMI is a component of the Environmental and Energy Management Program in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the George Washington University is a broad, interdisciplinary program that encompasses graduate academic education, cutting edge research and service activities. Graduate educational programs include Master of Science, Doctor of Engineering, Doctor of Philosophy and Professional Degrees. The research program provides state-of-the-art and highly relevant investigations into important issues affecting our nation and the world.

Dean Dolling, a fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and of the United Kingdom's Royal Aeronautical Society, holds an undergraduate degree in aeronautical engineering from London University and a graduate diploma from the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics in Brussels. He earned his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from London University.
