Key regulators, government institutions and lenders confirmed to speak at the Microfinance Forum

The microfinance sector in Egypt has seen big changes over the last 18 months.

CAIRO, EGYPT, November 10, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Since the law was passed in November 2014, issues of capital raising, new product development, reporting regulations, minimising cost of loan origination and increased competition have emerged as the industry’s biggest challenges. However with over 91 million people - the majority of them working in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises - the potential for microfinance is considerable.

With this in mind, IQPC is organising the 3rd Annual Microfinance Forum which will take place from 27 February – 1 March 2017 in Cairo, Egypt. This forum will bring together government authorities, regulators, MFIs, microfinance companies, banks, NGOs and law firms to discuss the strategies required to capitalise on the commercial opportunity of microfinance.
