ESI Roundtable Hosts eDiscovery CLE Workshop for In-House Legal Professionals
Workshop Provides Hands-On Training Tailored to Corporate Legal Departments
“Although corporate counsel have always attended, and been featured speakers for, ESIRT events over the years, our model has typically catered to law firms. We’ve spent significant time over the last several months with corporate counsel from across the country, asking them what they need, what style of event is most valuable, and how they best work with law firms and vendors, states Melissa Rogozinski, Founder and President of ESIRT, LLC. “The feedback indicated that local, practical programming, with breakout opportunities to engage with colleagues and service providers in their own sandbox, is what they want.”
The one-day Workshop consists of morning content sessions, presented by local corporate counsel, on Information Management, sponsored Cadence Group; Data Security & Privacy, sponsored by Balch & Bingham LLC; and eDiscovery Team Management. The breakout sessions in the afternoon, led by sponsors LDiscovery and Druva, will teach practical implementation for Budget Planning (RFP & Expense Control), Litigation Hold Process & Tools, and Training Your Team. The keynote, Analytics in the Modern Law Department, will be presented by Brett Tarr, Counsel, Litigation & E-Discovery for Caesars Entertainment. There will be a cocktail reception immediately following the Workshop, sponsored by Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.

“The ESI Roundtable has systematically changed the method of delivering ESI education in order to reach the legal markets in local communities. It provides a platform for lawyers, judges, in-house counsel, paralegals – all legal professionals – to collaborate while learning practical information in an economical way. ESIRT’s commitment to grassroots educational eDiscovery workshops makes a tremendous impact on the awareness of this important subject,” says Allison O. Skinner of Skinner Neutral Services (Birmingham) and Adjunct Professor of eDiscovery at the University of Alabama School of Law.
*Accreditation with the Georgia State Bar for 7.5 hours CLE credit includes Ethics and Trial. Professionalism credit is pending. ESIRT will assist with reciprocity or other documentation needed for counsel to obtain credit in other states as needed.
