Middle East corporations focusing on shared services and outsourcing convene in Bahrain this week

The Shared Services & Outsourcing Week conference will see senior stakeholders in the region discuss strategies to introduce shared services in their business.

MANAMA, BAHRAIN, October 31, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Heads of shared services, finance, procurement, IT and HR from some of the leading companies in the region will be gathering at the Crowne Plaza in Manama, Bahrain, from 31 October – 3 November to attend the Shared Services & Outsourcing Week Middle East organised by IQPC Middle East & SSON.

Hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board, these stakeholders will review the latest international best practices, examine SSO case studies from across the globe and identify region-specific strategies that can help them take their shared services and outsourcing operations to the next level.

Presentations and discussion sessions will be led by senior experts from Bahrain Economic Development Board, Al Tayer Group, Azadea, Airbus, Dell and more who will share how they have successfully reduced their costs by implementing shared services in their companies.

The event will feature a masterclass day led by experts from EMC2 and Almajdouie Group as well as a site visit to Bahrain EDB, Tamkeen, Huawei, Silah Gulf and GEMS operation centres. An awards ceremony will also be hosted on 1 November to recognise excellence and achievement in the field of shared services in the Middle East region.

Participating as one of the masterclass leaders and as sponsors for the event, Gavin Maxwell, Partner - Advisory, Ernst & Young MENA, said, “During the last 10 years, the outsourcing industry across the world has been reinventing itself. It is a market with fierce competition, relatively low supplier margins and huge differences in business maturity. While outsourcing operating models have delivered greatly on the bottom line all over the world, they have been, and to some extent still are, considered a necessary cost and a completely operative task. However, companies at the forefront are now expecting their sourcing strategy to deliver on their strategic objectives, promoting the outsourcing-operating model to an area for the CXO team to own. Moreover, the focus is shifting toward more strategic and company-wide benefits such as proactivity, flexibility, innovation and contribution to corporate transformation.”
Bahrain Economic Development Board, Civilsoft, Silah Gulf, Ernst & Young, Arthur Lawrence are sponsors of the event.

SSON Middle East will be held from 31 October – 1 November at the Crowne Plaza in Manama, Bahrain. For more information, please visit the event website at: http://bit.ly/2e3Hfqk
