Eldon Watches has today launched its exciting new Kickstarter campaign for one of the world’s most interesting watch concepts of the year.
The company is hoping to get over £10,000 of funding for its new type of watch which allows users to interchange every aspect of the watches design, including the strap, face, case and bezel. The company believes these first set of watches will set a new benchmark for traditional wrist watches.
The company has released a video showing off its new watches which includes details of its four ‘Signature watches’. These will be available with a 45% discount for Kickstarter backers. Alternatively, backers can also pledge for a combination kit which allows them to build and design their own watch from scratch.
“Everyone has their own idea about what makes a great looking watch, so with over 200 watch combinations possible, it’s going to be very exciting to see what our customers build for themselves. The initial response has been amazing, so we’re quietly confident that we will reach our funding target.” Says Elliott Haydon, the company’s founder.
Initially the company will use its funding to get the manufacturing process started and pay for its first run of watches as director Mark Brown describes, “Unlike many other Kickstarter projects which will never see the light of day, we’ve actually put in over a year’s worth of serious work already and have spent a lot of our own money on prototyping and packaging, so much of the hard work has been done. This means that when someone pledges for a watch, they can be 100% sure we’ll be able to deliver it to them if we get funded. Reaching the goal means we can go straight into production. Without Kickstarter this last part would be very hard to achieve.”
