ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, October 6, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Earlier this year, ITpreneurs collaborated with the Open Networking Foundation (ONF), a non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the adoption of open Software-Defined Networking (SDN), to provide the ONF-Certified SDN Associate (OCSA) certificate, developed as part of the ONF-Certified SDN Professional (OCSP) Program. Following the release of the OCSA certification, the ONF-Certified SDN Engineer (OCSE) certification will be available for the first time at the SDN & OpenFlow World Congress (October 10-14) in The Hague, the Netherlands.

The OCSE certification is targeted at SDN professionals who are actively engaged in the technical components of networking and SDN ecosystems. The OCSE certification will validate technical skills, knowledge, and abilities of the major domains of networking practices that support the theory and practice of SDN. This certification is considered mastery-level validation for technical professionals in the domain of SDN environments.

The OCSP Program provides an industry-recognized standard by which individual knowledge and skills can be evaluated at varied levels within the networking space. ONF’s development of the OCSP Program is in response to the ever-growing need for those within the open SDN industry to validate their knowledge, skills, and abilities within this changing field.

There will be two training sessions at the SDN & OpenFlow World Congress. The Introduction to SDN and OCSA certification will take place on Monday, October 10 from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. CEST. An overview of the OCSE certification will be offered on Friday, October 14 from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. CEST. Each training will be followed by their respective certification exams.
