New York State is operating lawlessly and is covering up staggering numbers of deaths of the disabled

DELMAR, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, September 12, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Governor Cuomo has done nothing significant to stop or prevent the staggering numbers of deaths of the disabled occurring in extremely dangerous and deadly State and private residential facilities and group homes in New York State. Eleven to twelve people with disabilities or those struggling with mental illness are dying on average every day in New York State alone. Governor Cuomo, with the assistance of Attorney General Schneiderman continue to look the other way regarding this wide-scale discrimination and deaths http://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/10/opinion/protecting-the-most-vulnerable.html . A completely different story when average or healthy people such as passengers involved in a train wrecks tragically die. Everything imaginable is done to prevent further loss of lives, not so for the disabled and mentally ill in New York State. There is a pervasive “who cares” attitude for this “specific group of people” that shocks the consciousness of those aware of the over 4,000 deaths occurring in these known unsafe and extremely dangerous facilities and group homes annually. Both Governor Cuomo and Attorney General Schneiderman continue to allow provider agencies to bypass calling 911 and local authorities and they both actually continue to allow them to investigate the deaths occurring in their own facilities https://www.justicecenter.ny.gov/sites/default/files/documents/JusticeCenterDeathReportingClarification12-17-15.pdf . As you will see from this State document the acting Executive Director of Cuomo’s supposed Justice Center, Jay Kiyonaga has directed the internal investigations of deaths. Here is the exact quote, “State and private providers should continue to review/investigate deaths in their programs, unless informed otherwise by the Justice Center.” This insanity and discrimination must be stopped now and federal investigations and intervention must swiftly happen to stop this horrific discrimination and the criminal cover-ups of staggering numbers of deaths. New York State is operating lawlessly and without regard to the safety, health or lives of people with disabilities. These individuals literally have no chance of resuscitation if 911 is not immediately called. How most deaths literally disappear and are covered up starts with initially bypassing the 911 emergency call centers. As everyone is aware, the 911 emergency call systems were set up and put in place to assist and protect everyone, not to bypass the disabled or any specific group of people. When a specific group of people are treated unequally and discriminated against like the discrimination Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. fought against it is without question a civil rights issue. New York State thinks its fine to treat the disabled and mentally ill differently though which is discrimination in civil rights according to the New York State Constitution. Bypassing 911 and local first responder medical and police services is obviously extremely dangerous and deadly, and this is how most reported deaths of the disabled are easily being covered-up. Independent local authorities are purposefully not notified and kept out of the picture so that key evidence such as independent written medical and police reports are not generated.
Top New York State leaders apparently think covering up deaths of our most vulnerable is just fine, but it is not fine and in must finally be stopped. Bypassing local police, bypassing County elected District Attorney’s, bypassing New York State laws and bypassing Medical Examiners and Coroners, regarding large numbers of people with disabilities, which are dying extremely young, in known, unsafe, facilities and group homes, speaks clearly of wide-scale discrimination and criminal cover-ups. Currently, most deaths, are purposefully kept from local police and County Elected District Attorney’s by a State agency wrongfully called the “Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs” or Justice Center. Almost all deaths, reported to this fraudulent whitewash entity disappear.
According to the New York State Constitution under Article 1 of the Bill of Rights {Equal protection of laws; discrimination in civil rights prohibited} Section 11. It states “No person shall be denied the equal protection of the laws of this state or any subdivision thereof.” People with disabilities are equal members of New York State and are supposed to have the exact same rights that every other person of New York State receives and is entitled to. The question would be why would Governor Cuomo and Attorney General Schneiderman continue to treat the disabled differently and unequally?
