The Military are a fabulously special breed of men and women who are patriotic, intelligent, smart and skilled. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for them.

TUCSON, ARIZONA, USA, May 25, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Claire Jean Prager is a spectacularly fabulous Real Estate agent in Tucson, Arizona. Her professional designations are many: At Home With Diversity (AHWD), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS), Short Sale-Foreclosure Resource (SFR), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), and most recently she became a Military Relocation Professional (MRP). She also serves on the Resort and Second Home committee at the National Association of REALTORS®.

Claire was born in Brooklyn, New York, and went to undergraduate school at the University of Maryland, graduating with a dual Major in History and Fine Art with a Minor in American Civilization. She then attended Graduate School at New York University, receiving a Master of Science Degree in Retailing; now granted as an MBA.

Claire recalls, “The world wars changed the world when women had to go to work. It changed fashion, technology and everything else. I believe that the younger generation has no real grasp of this, but the war truly changed the entire world.”

Claire began her Retail career at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City, working in high fashion, while in grad school. After graduation, she was quickly recruited to go to work at Woodward & Lothrop’s flagship (Downtown) store, in Washington D.C. – and became an Assistant Buyer before she moved into the Fashion Office. Then, she was given the responsibility of starting up and running the first contemporary high fashion boutique within the store: “Top Gear”.

It was at W&L that she and the store gained lots of publicity because Joan Kennedy, the first wife of United States Senator Ted Kennedy, was the first to wear a pantsuit to the White House from her department.

That was not the only connection Claire had to the Kennedy family. She worked on John F. Kennedy’s campaign while she was an undergraduate and volunteered at Robert “Bobby” F. Kennedy’s Washington, D.C. campaign headquarters in 1968.

Claire was in the position to expand her horizons and decided to try something new. She became the second woman ever hired by Xerox Corporation (in a non- personnel function) and worked in Corporate Customer Relations, in Washington, Maryland, and Virginia.

Not long afterwards, both Saks Fifth Avenue and Woodward & Lothrop called her back to work with them, as they were building their brand geared toward the younger generation. She became their ‘concept buyer’ with vendors such as Oscar de la Renta and Diane von Fürstenberg.

Claire and her husband travelled frequently for their respective professional lives so often “we were like ships in the night”. One of her former housemates was working for Mo Udall, and Claire was considering working on his Presidential campaign.

She says, “I didn’t know how to live as a person.” It was then that a Congressman friend said, “Why don’t you work for a democratic winner in politics? I know a constituent’s daughter. Here’s her number.”

The next thing Claire knew - she was organizing Democratic Mayors all across the country. She remembers, “It was a terrific experience. Jimmy Carter won, but you must remember, history is always the underlying theme.”

Indeed. Claire connects the United States Military in the historical context of everything she views. She says, “The Military are a fabulously special breed of men and women who are patriotic, intelligent, smart and skilled. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for them. Their bravery and willingness to sacrifice their lives for our freedom is priceless.”

Claire lives and works near Davis–Monthan Air Force Base. The Base is best known as the location of the Air Force Materiel Command's 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG), the Aircraft boneyard for all excess Military and Government Aircraft.

Claire moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1991 after having several successful careers in the private sector. Claire left her 10 year+ career in academia after becoming a widow; rejoining the private sector to use her marketing skills and background in Real Estate and developing a flourishing Real Estate practice both in the East and now in Tucson.

Naturally, Claire is a Senior Executive Sales Associate and Previews Property Specialist with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and is on the relocation team. Claire was selected as the 1999 CRS of the Year for Arizona for her commitment and accomplishments. She received the coveted CRS Medallion Award in 2010 from the Council of Residential Specialists for continued service on the national, state, and local level for the Council and was awarded the honor of being Emeritus in 2013.

Claire is active in the Women's Council of Realtors and has the WCR PMN (Performance Management Network) Designation. Moreover, Claire is active in the Tucson Association of REALTORS®, and was 2015 Chair of the Education Committee and still serves on the TAR/MLS task force.
