MOUNT LAUREL, NEW JERSEY, USA, January 11, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Julia Joyce-Hall is a proud Military wife who has lived in Camden and Burlington counties for the past fifteen years. She was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated from Watertown High School. Julia then enrolled at Bridgewater State College, majoring in Communications with an emphasis on Radio and Television and was a DJ and color-commentator for the basketball team at her college radio station. She then worked full-time at Blue Cross/Blue Shield which allowed her to attend evening classes at Emerson College - the nation's only four-year college devoted exclusively to the study of communication and performing arts.

While at Emerson, Julia found employment at Eastman Radio Sales, an independent national representation company for radio stations in the United States. Before long, she was promoted to Sales Representative. She says, “This was a great time in my life. My parents always wanted me to go to Emerson and I had my dream job before I had my degree. I was a sales rep for this amazing company and I had major accounts such as TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and CVS. I had a fantastic time working there.”

Julia graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Emerson. A few of the notable alumni include Jay Leno, Henry Winkler, Denis Leary, Mario Cantone, Spalding Gray and Steven Wright. With her infectious smile and sense of humor, this school was certainly a good fit!

Julia moved to Philadelphia to work at the local country radio station, 92.5 WXTU. She says, “I met the love of my life, Wayne Hall, while working at WXTU. He was active-duty and stationed at McGuire Air Force Base and we met at several station events. Wayne was always trying to win tickets to our all-day concert at area events and he swept me off my feet!” They were married two years later after the day they met.

After a year of local sales, she returned to national sales at Christal Radio, which represents a tremendous line-up of radio stations and broadcast groups across the country. Shortly thereafter, 9/11 happened, which shook America and the world to its core. Wayne was in the Mobility Group – the first boots on the ground. As a Military spouse, Julia knew that this was no accident, it was a terroristic attack on the United States. “I didn’t know what being a Military wife was until that happened. I called Wayne’s cell saying ‘Oh my God, what’s going on? Do you see what’s going on?’ It truly raised my awareness and it was my baptism into the Military world.”

Wayne was deployed to Qatar two weeks later. Qatar’s sole land border is with Saudi Arabia to the south, with the rest of its territory surrounded by the Persian Gulf. Julia recalls this time in her life saying, “Wayne couldn’t tell me where he was for six weeks. It was top secret. He was in a division who set things up quickly and left just as quick. I was a hot mess, totally sleepless. My workmates tried to lighten the stress by playing the ‘Where in the World is Wayne game.’

In 2005, Julia was laid off from her job and one of her former assistants - who was now in Real Estate - reached out to her saying she should give Real Estate a shot because she’d be very good at it. She says, “I knew it would take me from behind the desk and put me in front of people which sounded great because I’m such a people-person.”

Julia went to a career fair and was called in for an interview immediately. She landed her first job at Foxtons Real Estate and realized it was the right decision for her because she loved the flexibility and the fact that every day was different. “They gave me my own leads so I never learned how to generate my own leads. It was a very forward-thinking company in a strong seller’s market, so it worked. It was crazy and fast-paced but also had limits. I was strictly a buyer’s agent.”

After a year, things changed and Julia was planning on making a move. One day she stopped by another agent’s office, Jean Bonilla, to pick up some contracts for one of her listings and Jean said, “Why are you still working there? You’re much smarter than that. Jean took me into the Manager’s office, closed the door and said ‘Don’t come out until she hires you!’ and that’s how I ended up at Fox & Roach REALTORS® which has a long history and strong presence in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. Jean Bonilla has been her mentor and business partner since starting at Fox & Roach in 2006.

Julia saw the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification classes being advertised at her local Board of Realtors. “I was really psyched about this so I signed up and took the class. I’m not a traditional Military spouse in terms of having to travel, PCS and relocate. I didn’t have a Military upbringing and I wanted to be an advocate for other non-traditional Military families. There are very few Real Estate agents who understand the sacrifices and hardships that Military families have to go through on a daily basis and I look at my job as something that makes the difficulty of PCS’ing a better experience.”

Julia has won many awards during her illustrious career in Real Estate, including being featured in Philadelphia Magazine 6 times as a 5-Star Agent from 2010-2015 . She also received the New Jersey Association of Realtors (NJAR) Bronze Award in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2014.

Julia is excited to assist Military families and Veterans who are relocating to or from Joint Base McGuire-Dix in New Jersey.
