HPV: Diode Laser Therapy is Increasingly Used to Remove Genital Warts

“Diode lasers are semiconductors that change electrical energy into light energy,” and are used against genital warts on an increasing basis. (1)

Laser therapy can be expensive and is not widely available.

“Infected with the human papillomavirus (HPV)? The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD), recommends taking Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin.” - Greg Bennett, CBCD

A study has shown that doctors are increasinly using certain surgical techniques to remove genital warts. One of these techniques involves using a diode laser. Dr. de Lima and colleagues wrote in a study that “Because warts are vascular, laser therapy should result in instant coagulation and therefore provide bloodless removal of the lesion. The few studies of genital lesions conducted to date suggest clearance rates ranging between 23% and 52% for carbon dioxide and pulse dye laser therapy; however recurrence rates as high as 77% have also been reported.” (1)

Studies have suggested a number of advantages of laser surgery over traditional scalpel surgical procedures, such as “greater precision, a relatively bloodless surgical and postsurgical course, sterilization of the surgical area, minimal swelling and scarring, coagulation, vaporization, cutting, minimal or no suturing, and less or no postsurgical pain.” (1) Additionally, “laser diode vaporization appears to provide a … low complication and side–effect profile, in terms of scarring and post-operative pain.” (1) However laser therapy can be expensive and is not widely available.

The CBCD recommends that HPV infected individuals take Gene-Eden-VIR or Novirin. These natural antiviral products have no known side-effects, and were shown to reduce symptoms associated with HPV infection in two separate post-marketing clinical studies that followed FDA guidelines. Moreover, the formula of these products was designed to help the immune system target the latent form of the virus.

The formula of Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin was tested by Hanan Polansky and Edan Itzkovitz from the CBCD. The studies showed that the Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin formula is effective against the HPV and other viruses. The clinical studies were published in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy. The first study was published in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs.

Study authors wrote that, “individuals infected with the HPV…reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with (the formula of Gene-Eden-VIR and Novirin).” (2) The study authors also wrote that “we observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms.” (2)

Both products can be ordered online on the Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR websites here:

Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are natural antiviral dietary supplements. Their formula contains five natural ingredients: Selenium, Camellia Sinesis Extract, Quercetin, Cinnamomum Extract, and Licorice Extract. The first ingredient is a trace element, and the other four are plant extracts. Each ingredient and its dose was chosen through a scientific approach. Scientists at polyDNA, the company that invented and patented the formula, scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals, and identified the safest and most effective natural ingredients against latent viruses. To date, Novirin and Gene-Eden-VIR are the only natural antiviral products on the market with published clinical studies that support their claims.

Note: Novirin has the same formula as Gene-Eden-VIR. However, it contains higher quality and more expensive ingredients.

It is important for the public to understand that “the safest way to protect yourself from getting exposed to HPV or any other STD, is to use safe sex techniques. Abstain from sexual contact with individuals who have anal (or genital) warts. Since many individuals may be unaware that they suffer from this condition, sexual abstinence, condom protection or limiting sexual contact to a single partner will reduce the contagious virus that causes warts. However, using condoms whenever having any kind of intercourse may reduce, but not completely eliminate, the risk of HPV infection, as HPV is spread by skin-to-skin contact and can live in areas not covered by a condom.” (3)

What other treatments are available against the HPV?

“There are no drugs approved against the HPV. Current treatments include procedures, such as cryotherapy, conization, and the Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP). These procedures use liquid nitrogen, a surgical knife (scalpel), a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser, or electrical current to remove the abnormal growths caused by the HPV. These growths include cells that harbor the active virus. The procedures do not target cells with the latent virus. Since they do not remove the latent virus, these procedures only produce a temporary remission.” (2)
