Gazpromneft-Aero refuelling complexes confirmed as meeting IATA’s highest quality standards

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has confirmed the highest quality standards in aviation refuelling (“Green”) at two Gazpromneft-Aero refuelling complexes, in Tomsk and Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).

The refuelling complexes (located at Bogashevo airport, Tomsk, and Manas airport, Bishkek), were confirmed as being fully compliant with the latest international standards in refuelling services, following an annual inspection by IATA, with the association’s specialists checking fuel quality control systems, the maintenance of equipment and technology for storage and seepage control, laboratory operations, the availability of cutting-edge equipment at the facilities, and personnel training.

Gazpromneft-Aero currently has eight refuelling complexes located throughout major international airports in Russia and the countries of the CIS, each meeting the highest IATA quality standards — a record among Russia’s aviation refuelling companies. The complex at Tomalchevo airport, Novosibirsk, is among only four in the world (and only one in Eastern Europe) with certified facilities for IATA training in aviation refuelling. From the moment of its acquisition to its being awarded the association’s highest status, Gazpromneft-Aero has significantly modernised all of its refuelling complexes, as well as also undertaking training of personnel.

Gazpromneft-Aero CEO Vladimir Egorov commented: “Promoting international quality standards in aviation refuelling in Russia is a priority objective for our organisation. Cooperation with IATA allows us to implement the latest aviation refuelling standards throughout our own enterprises, as well as sharing experience with colleagues.”

Gazpromneft-Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The company has been involved in aircraft refuelling and the “wing-tip” supply of aviation fuels since 1st January 2008. Gazpromneft Aero has been an aviation-fuel strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since December 2008. All of the company’s refuelling complexes are now fully compliant with the highest IATA quality standards (“Green”), for the uninterrupted provision of aviation refuelling services.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) was established on 28 August 1919 in the Hague (the Netherlands) as the International Air Traffic Association. Today, the association is responsible for coordinating and representing the interests of the air transport sector in areas including flight safety, flight operations, tariff policy, technical operations and maintenance, aviation security, and so on. Its members include nearly 300 airlines, responsible for more than 90 percent of all international flights.
