To say that we love hockey would be an understatement. Peter is a former trainer, coach, and minor hockey president, Joey is a former rep/junior level player with a Sport Management Degree, worked for Hockey Canada, and the VANOC Ice Hockey Department, Ashley is a former player, Nick played all the way up through NCAA and Pro. Dustin played all the way up through NCAA and was drafted by the Montreal Canadians.

Yes, we are fortunate to be able to say that the game has given us a lot back and honored to have represented our province and our even our Country at various levels. But growing up hockey was expensive, if it wasn't for the old man who worked all the time and a mother who spent her life in the rinks we wouldn't be able to do it, what's worse is that if it were today we wouldn't have been able to afford competitive hockey.

OUR SOLUTION

So in Dec 2010 we started Walshy Stick Repair, we would utilize the many connections we had built throughout the game to source top end sticks, repair them using a proven method, and make them available to amateur and recreational level players in our community.

Since then we have built HockeyStickMan into a company with 12 retail locations, we ship brand new pro stocks and refurbished hockey sticks all over North America on a daily basis and have built this website (thanks Shopify). Despite the growth the company still operates with the retired old man fixing sticks (now going on 6,000), and the rest of us chipping in over and above our full time jobs.

We continue to operate with the same principals in mind = keep ALL operating costs to a minimum, don't do any advertising or pay for marketing/promotions, and don't offer any deals. We simply put our product out there at our lowest price and you find us! We make a little money and you get a great deal.
