ORANGE, CALIFORNIA, USA, April 27, 2015 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Radio Frequency Simulation Systems, Inc. (RFSS) has introduced a new Electronic Countermeasures/Target Generator (ECM/TG) system for testing the latest ship, ground, and airborne radar systems. The ECM/TG is an ultra-wide band (> 1 GHz IBW) Dual Channel 12/12-Bit DRFM based ECM/TG with RF broadband coverage at 2- 18 GHz, and has two separate RF output ports. The ECM/TG is designed using open standards and fully COTS hardware, including the core DRFM cards. Each DRFM channel can provide up to 16 independent targets, or up to 16 scatters with overlap capability to create complex targets. The ECM/TG is provided with a software Graphical User Interface (GUI) that is Windows based, and that is controlled locally by a host pc or real-time external control via a customer host pc. The software Graphical User Interface (GUI)can generate target scenarios, a comprehensive set of coherent and non-coherent Electronic Countermeasures (ECM), Jet Engine Modulation (JEM), Clutter, and other target phenomena like Glint, Multi-path, and Atmospheric conditions (like rain).
