$22 billion security investment to combat “volatile” APAC cyber threat
ABI research estimates spending on security in the region is set to hit USD$22 billion by 2020, but businesses need to act now in order to combat the threat.
“Digitally advanced industries and emerging knowledge economies are lucrative targets for hostile cyber threat actors, fuelled by political ideals or financial gain.”
Founder and Executive Chairman of IT Governance, Alan Calder, recently said, “ABI research estimates spending on critical infrastructure security in the region is set to hit USD$22 billion by 2020, but businesses need to act now in order to combat the “volatile cyber context” affecting emerging economies and established cyber states alike.
“This is why organisations throughout the APAC region are increasingly implementing the internationally recognised cyber security standard ISO 27001 to protect themselves against attack”, Calder concludes.
ISO 27001 sets out the requirements of an information security management system (ISMS), an enterprise-wide approach to information security that addresses people, processes and technology.
ISO 27001’s risk-based approach enables organisations to implement cyber security best practices based on the risks they actually face, and by achieving certification to ISO 27001, businesses can demonstrate their commitment to cyber security to their stakeholders as well as meeting their obligations under various data protection laws.
Thanks to IT Governance’s fixed-price ISO 27001 Packaged Solutions, APAC organisations can now take advantage of expert ISO 27001 consultancy to implement the Standard for as little as AUD$19,333.59, and organisations of fewer than 20 members of staff can achieve ISO 27001 certification for as little as AUD$9,840.45.
With their unique combination of standards, books, toolkits, software, training and online consultancy, IT Governance’s packages provide APAC organisations with all they need to implement the Standard and ensure their cyber security.
