The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) is a finalist for an Association Excellence Award in the best training initiative category.

The Association Excellence Awards 2015 recognise excellence in professional and trade associations. The winners will be announced at a lunchtime ceremony on 27th February at the QEII Centre in London.

FDF's introductory training course was launched in June 2014. It consists of three modules and is aimed at professionals wishing to gain more knowledge of key aspects of the food and drink manufacturing industry. The modules offer flexibility to companies and delegates as they can be taken as part of the course or as standalone units.

The three modules comprise:

  1. Understanding the Food and Drink Industry
  2. Essentials of Food and Drink Industry Legislation
  3. Perception of the Food and Drink Industry and Why It Matters

FDF developed the introductory training course after extensive industry consultation. The course which has been a success since its launch is delivered by trained FDF experts. The next “Understanding the Food and Drink Industry” (Module One) will take place on 11 March 2015.

FDF's Director of Employment, Skills and Corporate Services Angela Coleshill said: “We are proud for our introductory training course and we are pleased to be a finalist for an Association Excellence Award 2015 in the best training initiative category”.
