A Young Actress Hones Her Craft Learning Baseball.
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA, USA, November 6, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- 6--- November--- 2014—Cassidy Mack, 15-year-old budding local actress, has been preparing for her role in an upcoming short film at Beach City Baseball Academy (BCBA) in El Segundo. In the short film, entitled Two Secrets, Mack will play the lead role of Janie, a girl who plays both baseball and drums, neither of which she knew previously. So, she took the opportunity to learn something new.“She has really improved a lot since she came in. She was focused and imminently coachable,” says coach Kenny Woods who has worked with her on her batting in 1-on-1 weekly sessions the past four months. “She has a strong hold on the fundamentals of hitting and will be accepted as a ballplayer in this upcoming role.”
In film believability is a key component to accepting an actor's character. Mack had to perform as an actress as well as an athlete. Her preparation has demonstrated a great commitment to her craft.
Mack says that her lessons at Beach City Baseball Academy have been invaluable. “I feel much more confidant now about my role,” she says, “and I have learned that I actually like baseball. It's fun!”
Filming for Two Secrets is scheduled to take place in Colorado for the first few weeks of November.
