New CompTIA Security+ course by IT Governance helps progress career in a competitive job market
ELY , UK, October 28, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- IT Governance Ltd, the global cyber security training provider, has announced the launch of its CompTIA Security+ Training Course. This five-day classroom course includes the presentation of the key CompTIA Security+ Knowledge Domains and exam preparation exercises designed to ensure that delegates pass the exam at the first attempt.
Alan Calder, founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, says, “CompTIA Security+ is the newest addition to our existing Professional Certification training portfolio that is designed to help our delegates obtain the key qualifications required to enhance their information security careers in a very competitive job market. With knowledge domains that include network security, threats/vulnerabilities, application security and access control, CompTIA is a vendor-neutral and technical qualification. Candidates with this certificate are employed by global organisations that include Apple, Dell, ARAMCO, Canon and HP.”
CompTIA Security+ is an internationally recognised qualification that demonstrates that individuals have the knowledge required to identify security risks, apply risk mitigation controls, and deliver effective infrastructure, application and operational security. It is highly regarded by employers worldwide as an entry-level qualification for the development of a career in a technical information security management role.
Calder adds, “Studying for the CompTIA Security+ examination also provides a perfect ‘first step’ in a training plan that will eventually lead to many delegates preparing to pass the much coveted (ISC)2 CISSP qualification. With this in mind, we have also included a CISSP Exam Preparation course in our Professional Certification range of courses.”
The CompTIA Security+ Training Course is scheduled to next run in London on the 2-6 March 2015. While there are no entry requirements, the course is designed for individuals who have at least two years’ networking experience and possess a thorough knowledge of TCP/IP. Experience in implementing technical information security solutions is also highly desirable, and it is recommended that, if possible, students already hold a CompTIA Network+ certificate.
Places on the CompTIA Security+ course can be booked at www.itgovernance.co.uk/shop/p-1661.aspx.
