Bonnie Wunderly of Joy Life Coaching to be Featured on Close-Up Talk Radio

Life coaching is future oriented. It’s focused on the positive: on success and fulfillment and joy.
— Bonnie Wunderly
PEORIA, ILLINOIS, USA, October 9, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Most of us never truly experience joy. Sure, we find pleasure and entertainment, but rarely do we find fulfillment, connection and mission. So how do we create a life that feels good, means something, and gives us a sense of mastery over ourselves and satisfaction in our relationships? How can we become the pilot instead of getting dragged along for the ride?

Bonnie Wunderly is a certified professional coach and the founder of Joy Life Coaching, which specializes in providing Christian life coaching to individuals.

“I’ve always been interested in self-actualization: what is our purpose in life and what prevents us from achieving it?” says Bonnie. “This is the material of life coaching: getting clarity of purpose and developing a strategy to accomplish what you want, while overcoming the things that stop us from achieving our goals.”

According to Bonnie, Christian Life Coaching is quite similar to more traditional life coaching; the only difference is with Christian Life Coaching, we invite God into the process. Inviting God into this process can give us inspiration we need to understand how to accomplish what we hope to accomplish.

“Prayer can be very powerful and healing for past hurts and traumas, and there is an important place for doing that work, but life coaching is future oriented; it’s focused on the positive: on success and fulfillment and joy,” says Bonnie. “I believe that God is real. We can have a relationship with Him, He desires that, He wants to be part of our lives; in fact, his desire is that our lives would be full of true joy. God knows us better than we know ourselves so when you bring God into the equation it makes the work even more powerful.”

Bonnie holds master's degrees in both clinical psychology and education. In addition, she’s offered prayer ministry in a variety of settings. She says the first session with a client is all about trying to understand not just what the person wants to change, but why.

“Unless we know why we want to accomplish something we’re going to lose focus and get distracted,” says Bonnie. “So what are the benefits? What is it going to look like? What is it going to feel like?

“I’m most grateful for how God has brought me from defeat to victory. He took someone who was pretty crushed and restored and rebuilt and breathed life back into me. When I found myself on the other side, my first instinct was to help other people.”

Close-Up Talk Radio will feature Bonnie Wunderly in an interview with Doug Llewelyn on October 13th at 11am EST.
