Gazpromneft-Aero and Renova Group holding company Aeroporty Regionov sign agreement on construction of new refuelling complex
19 September 2014Gazpromneft-Aero, the aircraft refuelling business ofGazprom Neft, and Renova Group holding company Aeroporty Regionov— the largest airport holding company inRussia— have signed anagreement oncooperation inaircraft refuelling and transport infrastructure development. Signatories tothe document were Gazpromneft-Aero CEO Vladimir Yegorov and Aeroporty Regionov General Director Evgeniy Chudnovskiy.
Under the terms ofthe contract, Gazpromneft-Aero will build a20,000-tonne-per-year-capacity refuelling complex atfuture Saratov Tsentralny international airport. Front-end engineering and design ofthe complex isexpected tobegin before the end of2014.
Aeroporty Regionov has recently begun construction ofSaratov Tsentralny airport, which isexpected tobebrought into operation in2017, replacing the city’s current facility. The new terminal will belocated 30kilometres from Saratov, with capacity for one million passengers per year and able toservice practically all types ofmodern medium-haul passenger aircraft.

Gazpromneft-Aero isasubsidiary ofGazprom Neft. The company has been inbusiness since 1st January 2008, specialising inaircraft refuelling and the “into-plane” supply ofaviation fuels. Gazpromneft-Aero has been anaviation-fuel strategic partner ofthe International Air Transport Association (IATA) since December 2008.
Gazpromneft-Aero holds aleading position inthe Russian market interms oftotal sales volumes ofaviation fuels. The company currently owns 39refuelling complexes throughout Russia and the Kyrgyz Republic.
Aeroporty Regionov isthe largest airport holding company inRussia, ofwhich the Renova Group isthe most significant strategic investor. The Aeroporty Regionov holding company currently comprises Ekaterinburg Koltsovo Airport, Samara Kurumoch International Airport, and Nizhny Novgorod International Airport. Passenger traffic in2013 totalled more than 7.3million.
The Aeroporty Regionov holding company isanactively involved inpublic—private partnerships, developing major airline hubs throughout Russia through the construction new state-of-the art high-tech infrastructure, including passenger and freight terminals; airport hotels; and operational and transport facilities.
