Port and marine engineering experts to meet in Doha next week
Qatar Petroleum, Kuwait Port Authority, King Abdulla Port and Qatar’s New Port Project to discuss port expansion strategies and marine engineering projects
It has been estimated that the Gulf countries are allocating US$36 billion to further develop their port infrastructure to handle bigger capacity. In addition, Gulf oil producers are expected to spend nearly US$15 billion on the expansion of their ports within the next five years which further boosts the huge and exciting opportunities for the region’s construction sector.

As regional authorities move into planning and implementation phase, all eyes look to defining the most cost-effective materials and innovative techniques that can enable project efficiencies such as improving structural life span as well as accommodate the increasing fleet patterns.
