CLOUDCROFT, NEW MEXICO, UNITED STATES, June 10, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Judy Jones began her Military career in 1975 at McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas, enlisting in Communications as her career field. She also volunteered with the Honor Guard. “It was so exciting for me” says Judy, “I was paying respect for our fallen Military members, so I was doing our country a service by just being there. It was also very sad to see the families in grief and have to present the flag to them. I would fold the flag on the casket, then we would do the 7 gun salute.”

Prior to that, in 1967, Judy was working as a receptionist at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado, and one event in particular stands out in her mind: “I had the opportunity to observe an all-women’s Honor Guard” she recalls, “it was so beautiful and it was the first time that I had ever seen a Military funeral. When I joined the Air Force, it was because of that experience that I was able to join the Honor Guard when the opportunity presented itself to me.”

Judy was in the Air Force for 20 years and while stationed in Japan she was part of a program that had a volunteer team which helped special needs kids in summer camp. “At that time there was nothing available for the special needs children” she said, “so I thought it was wonderful to be a part of something so amazing – to give them the experience of a summer camp and provide them with the skills that allowed them to do certain things they didn’t think they could do.”

Judy retired from the Air Force in 1995 and had an interest in Real Estate. She learned how to become a Real Estate agent by taking Real Estate courses and then started her new career in Alamogordo, New Mexico. “Becoming a Real Estate agent was very exciting for me because I truly enjoy helping people find their dream homes. I love working with people, communicating with them and developing friendships with my clients.” she says.

Currently, Judy is a Real Estate Broker at Blue Water Real Estate Professionals in Cloudcroft, New Mexico which is about a 30 mile distance from Holloman Air Force Base. She is a Certified Negotiation Expert and oversees relocation services for those coming into her area. “I understand how the Military families feel when they relocate” says Judy “Often, they don’t know about the areas where they are moving to, or the schools, and I provide them with all of that information so they feel comfortable when they get here. I like to prepare them prior to their arrival which makes it so much easier for them and their families” she says, “I make it a point to make my clients comfortable and relaxed while I assist them with all of their Real Estate needs and keep them informed throughout the process.”

In fact, Judy Jones has a pledge to her clients: “My commitment to each customer is honesty and communication to insure that they have every bit of knowledge about the property that they are interested in purchasing or selling. My goal to each customer is to make their transaction smooth and flawless” she states.

Judy Jones has been a Realtor for seventeen years now and has been involved with the Otero County Association of Realtors as past President, Director and Education Chair. She is also involved at the State level with the Real Estate Association of New Mexico (RANM). She has been a Chair of the By-laws committee; co-chair of the Budget committee; Professional Education committee and the Stanley Mathis Group.
