New Chairman CIFA

During the Annual General Members’ Meeting of Monday, March 17th 2014, a new Chairman was elected in the person of Anuschka Cova (VBK+CO Alternative Investor Solutions). Anuschka has extensive international experience in the international financial sector and particularly in the hedge fund industry.

Anuschka Cova will replace Etienne Ys, who stepped down as Chairman after having fulfilled the maximum period of 4 years as a CIFA Board Member. In the past four years, Etienne has committed himself to strengthening of the international financial sector of Curacao. CIFA wants to thank Etienne for all the time and energy he has invested in the Association.

Prior to joining VBK+CO Anuschka worked at Citco Fund Services. During Anuschka’s tenure at Citco Fund Services, from 1993 to 2012, her roles included appointments as Operations and Managing Director for Citco in several locations.

Anuschka holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration (International Finance and Marketing) from the University of Miami and holds certificates in various specialized financial courses for executives, such as Finance for Senior Executives (FSE) from Harvard University. In addition, she has participated and volunteered in countless industry initiatives, Alternative Industry summits, forums and conferences for the last 16 years.
