InterLock wins GOLD at Taipei Cycle show d&i Awards - the most prestigious awards ceremony in industry for Asia

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, March 17, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- This year 3,300 exhibitors were present at the Taipei Cycle Show and of that only 5 won the prestigious Gold award - The InterLock was one of them for 2014! The Taipei Cycle show is the biggest cycle show in Asia, held in February each year.

The design is simple: It’s a seat post that has a bike lock inside of it, so the extra cable sits inside of the bike frame. The InterLock is the most convenient bike lock ever created. It’s able to be put on virtually every bike. You simply remove your existing seatpost and replace it with the InterLock seatpost. Then you slide the attached lock out of the top of the InterLock seatpost, run it through your frame and around a solid object to secure your bike, seatpost, and rear wheel to the fixed object.

The InterLock was funded on Kickstarter in February 2013 and has now finished fulfillment to all of it’s 1112 Kickstarter backers. With another 800 units in pre-sales via their website post-crowdfunding, the InterLock has been incredibly popular online - with pre-sales to 35 countries!

Each person that passed by the InterLock booth during the show loved it; “Wow!” Said hundreds of passers by; “I saw this on Kickstarter last year, it’s so cool that you’ve made it real!” said dozens more.

The first production run of 10,000 pieces was completed in January and the company has had so much demand from distributors and retailers that the stock is already sold out. A new order is underway with specific requests from distributors in Asia, Europe, and North America.
