Gazprom Neft’s Aviation Fuel Retail Trade Increases 16% in 2013
According tofigures for 2013, Gazpromneft-Aero, the aviation fuel business operator ofGazprom Neft, still leads the Russian aviation fuel market interms ofretail trade volume (owning amarket share of23%). Italso remains the largest provider ofaircraft refueling services atRussian Air Force bases. The company provided more than 2.2 million metric tons offuel “into-plane”, a16% increase on2012. Gazpromneft-Aero’s total volume ofaviation fuel sales also increased by16% in2013, reaching 3.4 million metric tons.

With 37fueling centers, Gazpromneft-Aero currently has the largest in-house distribution network onthe Russian market. The company operates at44airports inRussia, and afurther 125abroad. Gazpromneft-Aero had partnerships with 26Russian airline companies in2013, upfrom 20in2012.
In2013, Gazpromneft-Aero sold more than 100,000 metric tons ofaviation fuel outside Russia, having expanded the network ofairports atwhich itoperates from 88toits current figure. These increases have been achieved through the development ofpartnerships with leading aviation fuel suppliers inlocal markets. Gazpromneft-Aero’s strategy outlines plans tofurther expand its international network ofairports, which will allow ittoguarantee airline companies swift refueling and the best fuel prices.
Gazpromneft-Aero’s investment inthe modernization offueling infrastructure atairports within Russia came toover RUB 2.7billion. More than70% ofthis sum was invested inthe development offueling stations atRussian Air Force bases.

Gazpromneft-Aero isasubsidiary ofGazprom Neft. The company has been carrying out aircraft fueling operations and selling “into-plane” aviation fuel since January1, 2008. Gazprom Neft’s long-term strategy for its aviation fuel business includes aplanned increase injet fuel volumes ofupto5.3 million metric tons by2025. The majority ofthis fuel will besold through its own fueling centers. The company will have 58such centers by2025. Its worldwide distribution network will beexpanded toinclude 220airports, and its share ofthe Russian market will exceed30%.
