Facilitating ISO 27001 compliance and automated reporting considered top benefits of vsRisk™ 2, survey finds out
A survey by Vigilant Software found that more than 63% of the respondents cited facilitating ISO 27001-compliance as the most important feature of the tool
ELY, UK, February 12, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A survey by Vigilant Software following their webinar on conducting information security risk assessments with vsRisk™, found that more than 63% of the respondents cited facilitating ISO 27001-compliance as the most important feature of the tool. Approximately 57% of the respondents were of the opinion that automated reporting was also a considerable benefit. Other benefits of vsRisk™ 2 that were found important compared to manual spreadsheets were the ease and speed of using the tool as well as the searchable database for threats and vulnerabilities. The survey also found that most webinar attendees were interested in the tool due to the need to understand how to make information security risk assessments easier and faster. The responses showed that a big number of risk assessors also faced the challenge of getting risk owners to provide all the information into one usable format.
According to Alan Calder, Vigilant Software’s CEO, the new multi-user version of vsRisk™ 2 clearly addresses the challenges most organisations face when conducting risk assessments:
“vsRisk™ Multi-user automates and delivers an ISO 27001-compliant asset-based risk assessment through a few simple and easy steps and is compatible for use by multiple asset-owners enterprise wide. It simplifies and accelerates the risk assessment process and eliminates the opportunity for human and spread sheet error, improving consistency over time, strengthening the robustness of risk management decisions and ensuring key assets receive appropriate protection.
“Significant changes to the risk environment can be incorporated into the risk assessment quickly and easily through the multi-user version of vsRisk™ 2. vsRisk™ 2 can also be operated in a standalone capacity by a lead risk assessor or deployed to multiple risk assessors in a large organisation, ensuring the risk assessment is consistent and repeatable.”
vsRisk™ 2 is available in three options: Standalone priced at £995, Network-enabled priced at £1,595 and Multi-user for £2,495. Annual upgrade and support packages are also available.
