IT Governance releases their 2014 Public Training Schedule to help build the careers of IT Professionals

ELY, UK, December 12, 2013 /EINPresswire.com/ -- IT Governance Ltd, the international cyber security, IT governance, risk management and compliance (IT-GRC) training provider has released its official 2014 Public Training Courses Schedule.

IT Governance’s training programme consists of 31 individual class room and online sessions and is designed to ensure that delegates acquire the knowledge and qualifications required to build a successful career in information security, business continuity, IT governance and service management.

Alan Calder, Founder and Executive Chairman of IT Governance, explains, “Information security, business continuity, service and compliance are all key drivers in maintaining the effectiveness of any business in increasingly competitive markets. The need of every IT manager to update and maintain their knowledge and qualifications is of course directly related to these factors. Our new 2014 Training Schedule has been designed to both meet these challenges and directly support the career development of individuals as they move from junior to senior IT management roles.”

The IT Governance training programme features structured Learning Paths in key Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) sectors and includes courses at Foundation and Advanced Level. These sectors focus on the best practice and compliance requirements of ISO 27001, PCI DSS, DPA, ISO 22301, COBIT 5, ITIL and ISO 20000. Each of the courses has been developed to deliver specific learning objectives and provide the ‘building blocks’ to support a progressive and integrated education programme. They also support the enhancement of individuals’ careers by awarding industry-recognised certificates from exam bodies that include IBITGQ, BCS, APMG and EXIN.

A highlight of this programme is a significant upgrade of the globally acknowledged ISO 27001 training programme which reflects the recent release of the new ISO27001:2013 standard in October. This includes new and revised ISO27001 Certified ISMS Foundation, Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor training courses. For delegates from organisations already certificated to ISO27001:2005, the ISO27001:2013 Transition course provides an essential update of the future requirements for maintenance and re-certification.

Calder adds,”2013 has been an exceptional year with the release and update of many new standards. With the wide adoption of COBT 5 and the release of ISO27001:2013 and PCI DSS v3.0, our training development team has worked hard to prepare a comprehensive and unrivalled IT-GRC training programme for next year. We have also added new courses which support the exam preparation for the ‘must have’ information security qualifications that include CISMP, CISA, CISM and CISSP.”

The IT Governance 2014 Training Schedule is available for download from www.itgovernance.co.uk/itg-training-courses.aspx.
Any IT Governance training course can also be provided as an ‘in-house’ training session offering confidential team training at reduced costs.
